Freelance editing

January 10, 2015

I am now in the process of setting up my own freelance editing business. My focus will be on Christian literature–popular and academic books and academic theses and dissertations–although the content needn’t be explicitly Christian. My educational and professional background have prepared me to work with popular and academic writings in theology, philosophy, and Christianity and culture/society, although I am not limited to those.

Over the last year or so I have edited two books and one doctoral dissertation. Here are endorsements by the authors:

“Rick Wade has an eye for detail, a thorough knowledge of grammar and style, and an excellent grasp of the written word. He expertly converted what I thought was a decent manuscript into a crisp, well-oiled, and tightly argued book. I highly recommend Rick for any of your editing needs.”
-Paul Gould, PhD, author of Ideas and the Gospel (still to be published), and The Outrageous Idea of the Missional Professor (2014).

“Rick Wade is a life saver! Sometimes eyes glaze over after repetitiously looking at your own work. Hiring him to copyedit my dissertation gave me the confidence and peace of mind that my final product would be excellent. His services were, are, and will be a worthy investment!”
-Corey Miller, PhD, author of “Moses, Maimonides, and Thomas Aquinas on the Good Life: From the Fall to Human Perfectibility,” PhD diss., Univ. of Aberdeen, 2014.

A Website is in the making which will contain all the pertinent information about services offered and pricing.
